Advent, as a date on the calendar, is the period of four Sundays before Christmas or the celebration of the Earthly birth of Jesus. Though there is no scriptural reference for this, it can be and often is meaningful in one's spiritual practice.
 Listen as Mary Ellen suggests making Advent an inner practice in order to find deeper meaning and relevance. Advent can symbolize the practice of  consciously coming home to the Christ within.
