In Les Arcs France in 1982 the opening of Les Arcs 2000 would usher in the first wave of snowboarding's freeriders with Regis Rolland shredding the steeps with a helicopter, a film crew, and a million dollar budget.

Steve Graham gave us the contact information for Regis, citing him as one of the rad pioneers that helped start everything.

The Apocalypse Snow movies brought snowboarding to the world.

We reached Regis at his house in France.
