Description

Michele is an adoptee from New York. She has worked as a journalist and as a cybersecurity expert. She now focuses on writing and advocacy.  Michele discovered her Native American ancestry upon applying to the adoption agency that handled her adoption.  Michele’s adoption took place prior to the implementation of the Indian Child Welfare Act, considered the gold standard for child welfare. Please join us as we discuss the current challenge to ICWA, and the importance of retaining this legislation.
