Patriots just skimming the surface on RPO package that could JUMPSTART Mac Jones
Description
Phil Perry is joined by “Professor” Matt Cassel for a 300-level course on the run-pass option, or RPO, and why the Patriots use of the offensive package last Sunday vs. the Jets could just be a stepping stone into jumpstarting Mac Jones and the team’s offense going forward.
1:00- Phil offers a quick breakdown of the RPO package and how Mac Jones and the Patriots can use it to improve their offensive efficiency
9:40- Cassel joins to discuss his experience with RPO packages and the value of New England adding more of them to their offensive playbook
18:55- Cassel breaks down several RPO plays from Sunday’s win vs. the Jets and what New England did right on those plays
27:30- As well as what they did wrong on a few others, was the issue the play-call itself or a break down in execution?
