Description

In this episode, Grant McHerron talks with Ashley Neale, Development Manager for Space & Satellites at Vocus, and Phil Ridley, CEO of Quasar Satellite Technologies.

The discussion starts off by learning about how Vocus and Quasar operate in the space sector and their roles in the defence industry to deploy an expansive Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite infrastructure in Australia. We also learn about the use cases for these satellites, the evolution of their technology, and the challenges faced when deploying them.

Ashley and Phil also give us their thoughts on how the space industry is legislated in Australia, and what can be done to grow the space economy.
