Nick created the El Mago Cigar brand as a tribute to his grandparents, Maria and Gonzalo Torre who died on June 24, 2021 in Miami, Florida, when their building The Champlain Towers collapsed in the middle of the night. Nick's grandparents left a huge impression on him and El Mago Cigars is how he keep's their legacy alive.
