Season 3 Episode 106 Published 3 years, 5 months ago
Description

Amber is joined this week by her younger sister, Marissa. Marissa tells the story of the tragic death of Mia Zapata. Mia was an up and coming star from our hometown of Seattle, Washington. In the late 80's and early 90's she was making her name in the Seattle rock scene with her band the Gits, sharing stages with Nirvana and having Pearl Jam as fans. But, Mia's life was tragically cut short on July 7, 1993 while walking home in the community she loved.

Marissa pulled her sources from:

Then Amber covers the E2 nightclub stampede. On February 17, 2003, at the E2 nightclub above the Epitome restaurant on  South Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, 21 people died and more than 50 were injured when panic ensued from the use of pepper spray by a security guard to break up a fight.
