Bishop Overlooktavos Childrape-Ticus With Margot Channing & Gina Brillon
Description
Full transcript HERE.
Your FAVORITE weekly abobo podcast “Feminist Buzzkills Live!” is back to take out this week’s grimy misogynistic trash. While Marie is running around helping the process servers deliver Trump’s subpoena, Moji and Lizz are holding it down and bringing you all the news that’s fit to dissect, then toss in a tire fire.
What news are we covering from these reproductive streets this week? How about the arrests of 11 ANTI-ABORTION EXTREMISTS charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Best part: AAF research and monitoring had a hand in making that happen.
PLUS: Texas is TexASSing around, giving us more reasons to pop off, and we're also dragging Catholic hospitals for how they're silently taking over, pushing out secular hospitals and burdening us ALL with their abortion restrictions.
Plus, wait for it… MORE GOOD NEWS! From Hawaii to Indiana and – even Arizona? – a whole bunch of states are giving us big ol’ serotonin boosts this week!
This episode’s a doozy, so we called in some serious backup to break it all down with us. Joining us is Margot Channing, one of the super sleuth collective members at New York City for Abortion Rights, a feminist-socialist grassroots group that monitors the anti-abortion movement and leads direct actions for clinic defense. PLUS, serving up the laughs we all need, actor and comedy goddess Gina Brillon is here to gab it up about the sexist song she covered on AAF’s Do Re #MeToo special, being a woman in comedy, the importance of community, and her new podcast “The State of: Women” dropping next month.
Times are heavy, but we got you.
