Why No Hobby Love for These Great Players?; Listing Hockey Players Whose Cards Might Do Well This Year; Playing Overrated/Underrated on "Non-Rookie Cards"

Season 2 Episode 85 Published 4 years ago
Description

EPISODE 85 - Clark, Hyung, and John open the show talking about the upcoming NHL season and which players and rookies to look out for as potential good buys before the season begins this week.

In this week's Hobby Headlines segment, the guys revisit an old topic and discuss which athletes get no hobby love despite their greatness. Some of the players mentioned include Manny Machado, Nolan Arenado, Lamar Jackson, Nikita Kucherov, and Aleksander Barkov.

Then they move on to the popular "Overrated/Underrated" segment. This week, the category is "non-rookie cards" (ie. second-year cards of players; first-year cards of player on new team).

Finally, Clark, Hyung and John end the episode with "Pick One" where they name two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Aaron Judge 2013 Bowman Chrome Autograph Card vs.  Shohei Ohtani 2018 Bowman Chrome (hitting) Autograph Card; Better long term investment – Ultra modern Goodwin champions exquisite patch autos vs. Skybox Universe PMGs; Zion Williamson Blue Prizm Rookie Card (PSA 10) vs. Ja Morant Blue Prizm Rookie Card.
