White House call to Capitol rioter on January 6

Published 3 years, 3 months ago
Description

Records obtained by CNN show that a cell phone registered to a Capitol rioter who stormed the building, received a phone call from a White House landline at 4:34p on January 6. The call lasted for only nine seconds – but who placed the call and why? That, as new documentary video shows key Trump ally Roger Stone on pre-election day saying, “Let’s get right to the violence”.

The January 6 Committee is set to hold what’s likely to be the last public hearing on Wednesday before it releases its final report. Plus, texts from Mark Meadows reveal direct White House communication with a pro-Trump operative behind plans to seize voting machines in key battleground states, Brett Favre is under fire for his alleged role in the misappropriation of $8M in public funds intended for Mississippi welfare recipients, and NASA crashes a spacecraft into an asteroid for the first time.
