Description

Penn State recruiting for May wraps up with the BWI Daily Edition Recruiting show. Host Greg Pickel and insider Ryan Snyder discuss the relevant topics of the last week and preview the critical information about upcoming events.

They start with news about one of Penn State's top recruits in the Class of 2023, Jven Williams. The five-star interior lineman set a record and took home gold in two events this weekend during the PIAA state championship. Snyder recalls a moment after Williams' commitment when the junior lineman told him that this was a goal that he had for the spring. With his massive success this spring, Pickel wonders if he'll try to do both at Penn State.

Next, they discuss the Big 33 game from his past weekend. Penn State had four players in the game, including one who took home the player of the game honor. While it's a positive sign, Snyder casts doubt on the future of the game thanks to factors outside the control of the event, including early enrollment.

Finally, they discuss official visits for June. The Nittany Lions have a critical one to start the month in four-star defensive lineman Jason Moore. Penn State has the dreaded first visit during the period, so Snyder explains why it's important to set a good tone this upcoming weekend. He also details where Penn State is in the pecking order for Moore. They also discuss Florida linebacker Corey Lucius, who set his official visit for later this month. Snyder revisits the linebacker board to put the group in order heading into the month.
