Joel Wainwright is a professor in the Department of Geography at Ohio State University, where he teaches about political economy, environmental change, and social theory. Along with Climate Leviathan (Verso, 2018), he is the author of Decolonizing Development (Blackwell, 2008) and Geopiracy (Palgrave Pivot, 2012). We discuss the dimness of the future and possible ways out.
