Hello friends!  This week on the say YES to your yourself! podcast Wendy talks with artist and special guest Mercedes Kiss. In this gorgeous conversation they talk about the gift of new friends that feel like lifelong ones, and how our energy can be instantly aligned to another.

Wendy and Mercedes talk about the unconditional love of pets and the parallel they have in teaching us about creating harmony, owning our experience and speaking up for what is sustainable for ourselves. Mercedes shares about a trip to Costa Rica that reconnected herself to what felt correct and true for her, and how this experience led her on a new path. Through that experience she gave herself permission to say ‘if that isn’t right, stop doing it!’. Mercedes made a pivot and consciously chose to say YES to her truth, and to a life full of color and vibrancy. 

Get to Know Mercedes

Mercedes Kiss is an artist, designer, dreamer, curator, optimist, and enthusiast.

She was an architect for a decade, based in Washington DC and New York City, designing an eclectic mix of distinctive and character-rich residential, commercial, and hospitality properties for clients both international and domestic.

In 2016, a major personal revelation prompted her movement away from architecture to found A STAND OUT, a creative studio where the nature of beauty and human connection serve as themes of exploration to create unique social experiences and works of art.

Her artworks are multimedia collages marrying memories with dreams. And her next major experiential project is part clubhouse, magazine, and party called DISCO IN THE CLOUDS - look out for that starting soon in the fall of 2022. Mercedes now lives in Massachusetts with her recently-wed husband, Josh, and their handsome dog son, Ghost.
