Synopsis: The crew of the Tender Branch head out to deal with the first of the Three Beasts, the Beast of Scale. A massive flying monster that can destroy an entire island by itself is too dangerous to let live but conventional weapons cannot harm it. The knights fly to a kingdom with an archive of arcane lore but a secret cult of assassins tries to stop them. Even if they learn of the creature's weakness, can they find and use it before Scale destroys too much?
